Scott Marble

A resident of Colorado Springs since 1999, Scott Marble is well known in the community through his 21 years in the region’s hospitality industry as Resort Manager at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club and Director of Rooms at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. During his tenure with both organizations, he played an integral role in obtaining the AAA Four Diamond Award for each property, managed a wide range of operational divisions, oversaw multiple renovation projects and the opening of new outlets, and led both properties through various leadership transitions. An active board member of the Pikes Peak Lodging Association, Scott is a native of New Hampshire and a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management.

While at UNH he discovered a passion for classical ballet and pursued that training in parallel with his business education. After further study at The Boston Ballet School, he danced professionally for more than a decade with Indianapolis Ballet Theatre, Ballet West in Salt Lake City, and Nevada Ballet Theatre in Las Vegas, appearing in featured roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Giselle, creating roles in original contemporary pieces, and performing works by famed choreographers George Balanchine, John Butler, and Val Caniparoli. After retiring from the professional stage, Mr. Marble worked at The Mirage in Las Vegas before moving to Colorado Springs with his wife Holly, a Colorado Springs native and former Nevada Ballet principal dancer, who is known throughout the Colorado Springs dance community.

Scott is thrilled to be part of Colorado Springs Conservatory, an organization he has admired for years, for it brings him back into the world of the arts where he can blend his love for music, dance, and theater with his business experience. A true believer that the arts must be passed onto future generations, he knows from his own experience that the discipline and creative encouragement of arts education is applicable, and invaluable, for it fosters appreciation and awareness in all walks of life.
