End of Summer Theatre Workshop Performance – Saturday Matinee

FreeStudents will present a staged performance of what they’ve worked on in our end of summer theatre workshop. The presentation is directed and conceived by visiting guest artist Jamie Richards. Tickets are free but due to limited seating an RSVP reservation is required.
Jamie Richards most recent New York credits include Fernando at the New Ohio Theatre, and Intensive Care at Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Obie-Award winning Marathon of One-Act Plays. At Ensemble Studio Theatre, she also directed Klonsky and Schwartz, by Romulus Linney, A Secret Order and Flight. Other directing credits in the Marathon include plays by Julia Cho, Becca Brunstetter, and Cassandra Medley, Billy Aronson, and many others. She directed Light Years at Playwright’s Horizons, and Stonewall Jackson’s House (Pulitzer Prize nominee) at the American Place Theater. She served as Executive Producer of Ensemble Studio Theatre, where she produced premiers by Arthur Miller, David Mamet, David Ives and many others. She has developed and directed plays for Williamstown Theater Festival, New York Stage and Film, Playwright’s Horizons, and Primary Stages. She is the recipient of an Arthur P. Sloan Commission for Playwriting, and has served as Co-Artistic Director of Going to the River at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Artistic Director, Random Acts Festival at the New School for Drama, Artistic Director, 9th & Madison at Drew University and Director, Lexington Center for the Arts. She has directed many plays for Colorado Springs Conservatory, including Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alice in Colorado, Quick & Dirty, and The Last Five Years.
