David Musante

David Musante, Lead Mentor and Guitar & Community Engagement Specialist at Colorado Springs Conservatory, is a jazz/fusion/funk guitar player from Colorado Springs. David studied music and jazz guitar at Colorado Springs Conservatory for 14 years. He has shared the stage and opened for many fantastic names including Nelson Rangel, Del The Funky Homosapien, Gerry Gibbs, Nicholas Payton and Richie Cole.

David studied jazz guitar with Joe Pass’ protege Frank Potenza, for a year, at the University of Southern California in 2013. Afterwards, he returned to his hometown of Colorado Springs to work as a professional musician.

David has toured around Colorado, Arizona and Texas, playing festivals and venues with different bands, and maintains a busy playing schedule in the Springs. In June 2018, David earned the guitarist position in the Tavern Orchestra at the Broadmoor. In 2020, when the global pandemic hit, the Broadmoor closed, and David began focusing his efforts toward original music and recording. During that time, he recorded with numerous artists in Colorado, Nashville and Los Angeles. He also began working on a forthcoming album of original music.

Since the slow “reopening” of Colorado has begun, David has been happily performing throughout the state with groups and artists such as Tashi, Jana Lee and The Powers That Be, Susan Rissman, CC and The Silhouettes, Chantil Dukart and many others.
