Congratulations to our dedicated and talented students, Sophia Peterie, Meredith Aguirre, Maya Sanchez-West, Mac Peterie, Grant Howard, and our lead mentors David Musante and Jeff Grady on their guest appearance at the Give Kids The World (GKTW) Gala in Kissimmee, Florida on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
We are so proud of each of them and their first-class representation of the Conservatory and of Colorado Springs at this very special black tie event. The evening was a culmination of our “Summer Concert Series,” with the group performing songs as heard in Colorado Springs parks and at several community events and celebrations throughout June, July and August 2021!
Many thanks to our host Pamela Landwirth, President and CEO of GKTW Village, for her gracious invitation; to Elise Boyles, Assistant Director of Development at GKTW, for her assistance with all the event coordination; and to Lisa Compton, Executive Creative Director/Owner of Metropolis Productions, for assisting with instruments and audio equipment at the gala.
Special thanks to Conservatory’s-own Emily Nelson, for traveling with our students and mentors, to our Founder, Linda Weise, for this special connection with GKTW; and perhaps most importantly, to the Peterie, Aguirre, Howard and Sanchez-West families for their enthusiasm and their trust in allowing “the band to go on the road!”
