Josh Franklin | Vice Chair

Bio
After nearly two decades on Broadway, Josh Franklin has established himself as a versatile artist and entrepreneur. His writing credits include Royal Blood, a hip-hop vampire musical comedy; Jack: A Moral Musical Tale; The Consoling Mechanism—selected for NAMT 2020, Theater Accelerator 2022, and the New Works Festival at Phoenix Theatre Company in 2023—and Searching for Santa, which premiered at Colorado College in 2024. As a director, he has worked with PPAS, Pop-Up Plays, Little Theatre of the Rockies, Colorado College, and the Colorado Springs Conservatory. On Broadway, Josh appeared in The Prom, Anything Goes, Ghost, Legally Blonde, and Grease; Off-Broadway in Cyrano with Peter Dinklage; and on national tours including Jersey Boys (Bob Gaudio), Grease (Danny Zuko), All Shook Up (Chad), and Anything Goes (Billy Crocker)-earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination for best actor. He has performed on three Tony Award broadcasts and numerous television specials including The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, and PBS’s A Capitol Fourth alongside Aretha Franklin and Barry Manilow. Now based in Colorado Springs with his husband, John T. Wolfe, Josh co-owns Icons, the city’s first musical gay bar celebrating queer culture through iconic influencers and live entertainment. Featured in Forbes, 5280, and Canvas Rebel, Icons was voted “Best New Bar” and “Best Overall Bar” by the Colorado Springs Independent. Josh also serves as Vice Chair of the Colorado Springs Conservatory board and sits on the advisory board for Theatreworks. You can currently catch both Josh & John in Mary Poppins at the FAC! Josh is honored to be involved in the arts community and part of the growth of the next generation of Colorado artists!
Nathan Halvorson

Bio
Nathan Halvorson’s work has been seen at Lincoln Center Theatre, NY Theatre Workshop, Circle in the Square, Mountain Rep, Theatreworks USA, Theatreworks Colorado Springs, Expanded Arts, The NY International Fringe Festival, The Mint Theatre, Carousel Music Theatre, Iowa Summer Rep and many others. He was a founding member and Artistic Director of The Key Theatre (a theatre that focused on the stories of the LGBTQ+ communities) in NYC and the former Resident Director and Interim Artistic Director at The Penobscot Theatre in Bangor, Maine.
He has taught theatre at several universities including The University of Notre Dame, The University of Iowa, and The University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and has been a teaching artist for many school systems and theatre companies for nearly twenty years. He is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and The Lincoln Center Director’s Lab and received his MFA in Theatre Directing from The University of Iowa.
Before joining The Colorado Springs Conservatory, he was the Associate Director of Performing Arts and Director of the Theatre School at The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College. As an actor, choreographer, and director, he has been involved in over 100 professional theatrical productions in NYC, regionally and on tour.
He has been nominated for ten individual Henry Awards (Won: Best Director of a Musical 2020 for The Bridges of Madison County) and directed four shows to best production nominations (Won: Best Production of a Play 2019 for Church & State and Outstanding Production of a Musical 2020 for The Bridges of Madison County).
He is also the recipient of the Arts in Education Award from the Pikes Peak Arts Council and a True West Award.
