Each year the Conservatory students, alumni and mentors perform in hundreds of presentations. From recitals, cabarets, coffee houses, outreach presentations to Jazz Nites there are over 300 performance opportunities that the CSC family of performers participate.
The Conservatory presents a monthly student recital that is free and open to the public.
Students from the various CORE after school and partner programs are nominated to perform by their mentors.
The First Friday of each month, the Conservatory hosts a Jazz Nite performance along with the community Art Walk. Jazz Mentors Wayne Wilkinson, Andy Burtschi, Todd Williams, Ian Ferguson, Thomas Dawson and Lewis Keller take the stage at either the conservatory or the Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery and are joined by the jazz students and various alumni.
It is always a sold out event of top notch jazz performances!
Coffee House Performances
The students and alumni are invited to perform at various small venues through out the city of Colorado Springs.
Host venues have included the Warehouse Restaurant and the Wild Goose Meeting House. All are open to the public.
Students can perform original solo or ensemble works as well as cover tunes.
Students of the CSC have been performing at Senior Residences for over two decades now.
From the Colorado Springs Senior Center to Village at Skyline , the Colorado Springs Senior Community has enjoyed the music of the conservatory students.
Community Arts Advocacy
The Colorado Springs Conservatory extended family of performers has collaborated with community and regional partners to enhance and elevate events and celebrations since 1994.
From the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to TESSA, CSC has created original works or performed requested pieces to enhance fundraising events for our civic and artistic partners.
The Conservatory students are always ready to sing a National Anthem when called upon whether solo or in small ensembles.
From Colorado Balloon Festival and the CC Hockey Games to the Stock Show in Denver, the CSC students and alumni are always happy to bring in another event with our nations’ song!
CSC students write original works that are shared and choreographed by local dance studio students and performed live at Stargazers Theater.
This annual production is truly inspiring as all works are presented and produced solely by the students. Ormao Dance Company, Ballet Society, Revolution Dance, Krithika Performance Arts Center and Kemper Dance are but a few of the studios involved.
