We’ve added a 2nd show at 10pm at Springs Orleans in the Mining Exchange – A Wyndham Grand Hotel located on Nevada and Pikes Peak. This is a non-ticketed event with purchase of  a selection from the menu or bar.

Thomas Dawson auditioned to play keyboards with The Commodores in 1988 and has held that chair for over 20 years. “It was amazing. The Commodores were one of the first groups I saw live, and I imagined myself playing with them. Just a few years later and I was in the band!”
Thomas is currently the VP of artist relations for Davis Muller Instruments, music director and keyboardist for The Commodores, director of entertainment for the Mining Exchange-A Wyndham Grand Hotel and Springs Orleans restaurant in Colorado Springs.


Wayne Wilkinson on GuitarWayne Wilkinson – Guitar   

From Carnegie Hall to The White House, Wayne has played with jazz greats including Earl Klugh, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Joe Williams, Ernie Watts, James Moody, Henry Mancini and Stanley Turrentine.

His latest CD “Full Circle” received rave reviews in “Just Jazz Guitar” magazine and on NPR. Now one of the most revered jazz artists in the region, Wayne was as a member of the Air Force Academy’s “The Falconaires” jazz ensemble from 1983 to 1991.

Josh Birkhimer – Drums

Direct from Nashville, Josh has performed nationally and internationally

for over 28 years. His resume crosses generations and styles with artists such as Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Big & Rich, Jo Dee Messina, Jim Lauderdale, Raul Malo, Henry Mancini, Jon Faddis, The Drifters, Andy Griggs, Earl Thomas Conley and Eddy Raven.

Andy Burtschi – Bass
Andy has been a professional bassist for over twenty years and taught jazz and commercial styles on acoustic and electric bass at Millikin University in Illinois from 1998 to 2008. Jazz recording projects have included Jazz America with The Beatniks (his own group); Hard at It and Cool Yule with Randall Reyman; and Rose of LoamiOop Bop Sh’Bang, and Bird’s Eye View with Sam Crain.

 Tom Fowler – Sax
Tom has had an impressive career as a professional musician and music educator. At Wichita State University, he served as Associate Director of the School of Music, Director of Jazz Studies and University Jazz Ensembles and was director of Wichita Jazz Festival, Inc. Tom assists serves in the Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society’s jazz mentor program and was a member of the Air Force Academy’s “The Falconaires.”
