The Colorado Springs Conservatory presents “Sideshow” directed by Billie McBride Jan 17, 18 & 19, 2017 at The Warehouse. Based on the true story of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. Told almost entirely in song, the show follows their progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie Freaks.

Billie McBride is so pleased to be back working with the students and staff of the CSC.  She spent 20 years in NYC prior to moving to Colorado doing theatre and Television.  Since moving to Denver she has both acted and directed in many of the theaters in Colorado.  She spent the past 10 years as the resident director for the DENVER CHILDREN’S THEATRE and has also directed both Children’s productions and main stage productions for THE ARVADA CENTER FOR THE ARTS AND HUMANITIES. She just completed directing Lost in Yonkers for Midtown Arts in Fort Collins and a workshop of a new work for Elitch Gardens Theatre in Denver. Billie recently won a Henry Award for directing THE VINTAGE THEATRE’S production of Night Mother.
