Early Childhood Program Details
Piccolo (0-3 years with guardian)
Each week of the Piccolo class includes age-appropriate learning experiences to encourage an early love of the arts. YOU + YOUR CHILD will experience music through an immersive journey of learning and play! Piccolo class also promotes bonding and community building through classroom activities that encourage participation and peer social interaction. Monthly themes and weekly read-alouds are designed to develop primary literacy skills and an early love of reading. Students will be introduced to the basics of rhythm and note identification, keeping a beat, and singing as part of a group. Weekly fine-motor activities help students prepare for playing instruments.
Soprano (pre-K Through Kindergarten)
Soprano Class is a joyful introduction to the performing arts, designed especially for our youngest learners. Each class is filled with playful exploration—children will sing, dance, and act their way through activities that nurture self-expression and social interaction. From imaginative theater games and pantomime to rhythm exploration and group singing, students will begin building a strong foundation in both musicianship and performance. They’ll learn musical basics like Solfege, note and rhythm recognition, and age-appropriate music vocabulary—all while having a blast. This program also promotes early development in communication, emotional expression, and teamwork. At the end of the semester, families are invited to a performance that showcases everything their students learned this semester.
*Optional Private Piano Lessons – lessons in person once a week for 30 minutes.
Alto (1st-2nd grade)
Alto students will experience an interactive theater and music immersion experience! Each academic session of the curriculum will include age-appropriate learning experiences in Solfege ear training, note and rhythm identification, musical terminology, aural recall, music composition, and singing. They will also be introduced to different types of theater, refine their pantomime skills, and learn to create stories for the stage. Students also practice listening and responding to classical music, with an emphasis on personal expression and peer-to-peer interaction. This class includes an end-of-semester performance for families.
