Jazz Nite

Jazz Nite will feature the CSC student jazz combo and CSC Mentor Artists Wayne Wilkinson, Todd Williams, Tom Fowler, Ian Ferguson, Lewis Keller, Andy Burtschi and guests.

As part of the Downtown Partnership’s First Friday Series we will be debuting an art show for the month of May featuring art by Betz Smisek from 5:00 – 6:30PM with light refreshments (no wine and no admission charge). At 6:30 PM the audience will be seated for Jazz Nite. Tickets must be purchased for Jazz Nite at $15 and includes wine and small bites.

Betz is a well-known Colorado artist and published author.  She has worked as a commissioned stained glass designer, art instructor at Bemis School of Art, felted designer, and is an instructor level encaustics artist.  She has also been selected as the featured artist in holiday shows and galleries throughout the southwestern United States. Her works are hung in private, public showings, galleries, corporate offices and private homes in Carmel, Jackson Hole, Santa Fe, New York and throughout Colorado.  Her art and photography have also been used in greeting cards.  Betz is currently the Artist in Residence for the Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery.  The Conservatory is proud to feature Betz as our Colorado Springs First Friday Artwalk Artist for May and June.  Please see more of her work at http://www.lawrencedryhurstgallery.com/
