The Colorado Springs Conservatory is thrilled to be in its fifteenth year of providing outstanding arts immersion programming to the youth of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. It is the mission of the Colorado Springs Conservatory to “inspire, challenge and motivate students to aspire to their highest potential both as artists and as human being through arts immersion studies and community arts advocacy.” Earlier this year it was our distinct honor and privileged to be awarded the El Pomar Foundation’s 2008 Award for Excellence in Arts and Humanities.  This award heralds only the best organizations for the entire State of Colorado. The Colorado Springs Conservatory began in 1994 after Founder and Executive Director Linda Weise was approached by many of her private students wanting to pursue music at a professional level.  They were eager to know what they needed to do in order to succeed. It was while developing curriculums, creating performance opportunities, and recruiting only the finest local and regional faculty and mentors, that Linda realized how many kids would ultimately be interested in and affected by such programming.  She was committed to providing a safe, nurturing, positive, productive environment where students can explore talents, understand personal potential and achieve goals previously unrealized. Thus, the birth of the Colorado Springs Conservatory.  What has been a wonderful consequence is how greatly the community, region and state have benefitted from the Conservatory programs and student efforts as well. While the curriculum has changed and grown along side the Conservatory, the mission and core values have remained the same. For the past fifteen years, Linda and the students of the Colorado Springs Conservatory have been actively involved in the communities of Colorado Springs and surrounding areas enriching many lives, organizations and events with their music, humanity, compassion, and passion for life and the arts.  The Conservatory has graduated 100% of high school seniors to 100% of the colleges, conservatory and universities to which these student apply, many with substantial scholarship awards. It is because of our wonderful friends and donors that we are able to provide amazing opportunities to our students.  Without their benevolence and generosity of resources and spirit, without your help, we would not be able to reach so many and have such a positive impact on our students. These are today’s youth, but tomorrow’s leaders and our communities are better because of their growth, not only as artists, but as human beings that these kids achieve at the Colorado Springs Conservatory. “Real art is one of the most powerful forces in the rise of mankind and he who renders it accessible to as many people as possible is a benefactor to humanity” Zoltan Kodaly

We thank our benefactors for their support, trust and friendship.
