ABOUT COLORADO SPRINGS CONSERVATORY

With its permanent home in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, the Conservatory contributes to the economic vitality and quality of life for thousands in our community and beyond through inspired performances, workshops, “Jazz Nites,” and collaborations with dozens of arts and civic organizations. Students enjoy 18,000 square feet of dedicated performance arts space including a Yamaha piano lab, student lounges and libraries, recording and dance studios, and a gift store.

The Colorado Springs Conservatory aims to inspire, motivate, and challenge all students to aspire to their highest potential as artists and as human beings through arts immersion studies and community arts advocacy.

Students are encouraged to contribute to the world in a meaningful and creative way. They can explore the arts in an environment that embraces individuality and mutual respect – a rare and nurturing setting that brings together world-class training in all of the performing arts to students ages 4 through 19.

Since 1994, CSC has served thousands of students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and skill levels in the Pikes Peak Region. Students engage in a wide variety of learning experiences in instrumental music, vocals, musical theater, dramatic studies, dance, recording arts, composition, music theory, humanities, piano studies, jazz, opera, film scoring and more.

More than 40 distinguished mentors and guest artists grace the halls of the Conservatory; these performing artists have pedigrees from the nation’s leading colleges, universities and conservatories. From the White House and Carnegie Hall to capital cities throughout the world, from dimly lit jazz clubs to the lights on Broadway, CSC’s multifaceted and creative mentors share their gift for teaching and a deep passion for the arts with hundreds of students who have attended the Conservatory during our 22-year history.

One-hundred percent of students who participate in the CORE after-school program attend colleges, universities and conservatories of their choice, often with significant scholarships. Many alumni pursue careers in the arts, go on to Broadway and off-Broadway, win Tony awards, join national touring companies and arts organizations. Others excel in a wide range of professions including technology, medicine and the humanities.
